Beth Sellnow, age 87, passed away on Monday, December 9, 2019 at Essentia – St Joseph’s Medical Center. Beth was born at home in Cass County, near Motley, MN to Owen & Bertha (DeGeest) Truesdell. She completed teacher’s training in 1953 and taught in one-room country schools in rural Minnesota. In 1957, she married Les Sellnow. After marriage and raising her four children, she returned to the work force as a nursing assistant at St. Joseph’s Medical Center for 24 years, until her retirement. Left to cherish her memory are her children: Pam (Mike) O’Rourke, Tim (Deanna) Sellnow, Lori (Gary) Morgan; daughter-in-law, Shelly Kotyk-Sellnow; siblings: Kenneth Truesdell, Jack Truesdell and Dorothy (Archie) Hosner; sister-in-law, Waneta Truesdell; grandchildren, Neil Doucette, Debbie Sellnow-Richmond, Caitlin Sellnow, Emily Driessen, Abby Jasmer, Rick Sellnow, Stephanie Gangestad, Cameron Sellnow; four great grandchildren. Beth is preceded in death by her parents; son, Greg Sellnow; son-in-law, Roger Doucette; brothers, Bill Truesdell and Emmett Truesdell; sisters-in-law, Gloria Truesdell and Joan Truesdell. A memorial service for Beth will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2019 at 11 a.m. at Halvorson Taylor Life Events Center (512 S 8th St, Brainerd) Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
