Marie Katherine Bristlin, age 78 of Staples passed away on Friday, August 11, 2023. at the Lakewood Care Center in Staples. Marie was born to Margaret (Kallas) and Joseph Mumm in Bertha, Minnesota on March 1, 1945.

She married Jackie L. Bristlin on October 22, 1966, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Staples. Marie worked as a Registered Nurse in the Metro Area for many years. Her hobbies included scrapbooking, card making, and gardening.

Marie was preceded in death by her parents, and her son, Darren James Bristlin. Marie will be deeply missed by her husband, Jackie; son, Scott; sisters, Teresa (Walt) Peterson, Joann (Wayne) Lenk, Rose (Don) Weber; brothers, Bernard (Gloria) Mumm, John (Darlene) Mumm, Larry Mumm; nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

Mass of Christian Burial for Marie will be held at 11AM on Wednesday, August 23, 2023, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Staples with visitation from 10:00-11:00 AM at the church. Visitation will also be held on Tuesday, August 22, 2023, from 5:00- 7:00 PM also at the church. Interment Evergreen Green Hill Cemetery in Staples.
