Alan J. Tschida

Alan J. Tschida, 82-year-old resident of Brainerd, MN passed away Saturday, February 26, 2022, at his home in Brainerd, MN. A visitation will be held from 12:00-1:30 P.M. on Friday, March 4, 2022, at the Halvorson-Taylor Life Events Center in Brainerd, MN. Burial will take place in the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery north of Little Falls, MN on Friday, March 4, 2022, at 2:00 P.M. Caring for Alan and his family is the Halverson-Taylor Funeral Home in Brainerd, MN.
Alan was born on June 3, 1939, in St. Paul, MN to the late Edward and Rita (Knopik) Tschida. He honorably served in the United States Marine Corp from 1957 until his honorable discharge in 1960. After his time in the Marine Corps, he enlisted and served in the Minnesota Air National Guard for 19 years, for a total of 22 years of dedicated service to his country. Alan retired as a telephone repair technician from the Brainerd area.
Alan is survived by son, Ronald Tschida of Eau Claire, WI; sister, Sharon Buckman; sweetheart of 8 years Faye Dosh and his loyal furry friends Jackie and Buddy.
Alan was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Rita Tschida; son, Michael Tschida; and daughter, Dawn Tschida.
Per Alan's request no gifts or flowers are to be sent to the family.
