Alex Allen Klause

Alex E. Klause, age 70 of Baxter, passed away on June 15, 2024, at Essentia St. Joseph’s Hospital in Brainerd. He was born in Brainerd on April 5, 1954, to Darleene (Ross) and Erwin Klause.

Alex graduated from Brainerd high School in 1972. He was selected for the US Navy and entered on February 17, 1973. He received his Honorable discharge on June 21, 1974.

Alex married Lynn M. Holmes on September 24, 1994, in Brainerd. He was a carpenter by trade. Alex enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling, family time and reunions. He especially delighted in spending time and camping with Audrey, Chistopher and Morgan (and their parents). They were his special/honorary grandchildren and held them very close to his heart.

Memorial services for Alex will be held at 11:00AM on Tuesday, October 1, 2024, at the Halvorson Taylor Life Events Center in Brainerd with visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery in Little Falls.

Alex is preceded in death by his parents; infant sister, Marie; father and mother-in-law, Elmer and Ann Holmes; brother-in-law, Gerald Holmes.

Alex will be deeply missed by his wife, Lynn; brother, Edwin (Christine) Klause, Linda (Anthony Baeten), Karen (Jerome) Brodmarkle; niece, Stephanie (Ryan) Kinnamon; nephew, Maxim Brodmarkle; aunts, Mildred Ross, Audrey Amundson, Elaine Krohn; Lynn’s brother, Warren (Lynn) Holmes; sister, Barb Holmes (Vern) Gevik; sister-in-law, Ann Holmes; nieces and nephews.
