Alice Mullenix

Alice Mullenix, 60 year old resident of Pillager, MN passed away Monday, January 25, 2021 at her home in Pillager, MN. A Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 P.M. on Friday, January 29, 2021 at the Halvorson-Taylor Life Events Center in Brainerd, MN with Rev. Lindsey Jones officiating. Burial will take place in Evergreen Memorial Garden Cemetery in Brainerd, MN. A visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until 12:00 P.M. on Friday at the Halvorson-Taylor Life Events Center in Brainerd, MN. Funeral arrangements are with the Halvorson-Taylor Funeral Home in Brainerd, MN. Alice was born on June 21, 1960 in David City, Nebraska to the late George and Marjorie (Heglund) Kreller. At a young age her family moved to Pine River, MN where she grew up and attended school. Alice was united in marriage to Rick Mullenix on September 24, 1988 at St. Francis Catholic Church in Brainerd, MN. The couple made their home in Pillager, MN where they raised their 4 children. Alice was a very caring and giving person who always put others around her before herself. She loved keeping herself busy in her free time, she enjoyed cooking, fishing, camping and going on four-wheeler rides. She was also an avid shopper, but most of all she was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. In 2019, Alice was diagnosed with ALS and battled the disease with courage and grace for the last two years. Alice will be forever remembered for her great sense of humor and her ability to play fun jokes on the people she loved. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed. Alice is survived by husband, Rick Mullenix; children, Stacy (Joshua) Ebert, Ciegi Mullenix, Alisha (Tyler) Wheeler and Jason Mullenix; 8 siblings and 6 grandchildren. Alice was preceded in death by parents, George and Marjorie Kreller and sisters, Linda Gehrke and Donna Glover.
