Amanda Louise (Borowski) Bisted

Born September 9th 1943 In Fergus Falls, MN to Erwin R. and Erma (Rufer) Borowski

Died April 1st 2026 at Lakewood Care Center Staples, MN.

She graduated from Fergus Falls high school in 1961 after high school she got a job working for Northwestern Bell Telephone Company as a Telephone Operator until 1964. In 1965 She married the love of her life Gerald Bisted, They then made their home in Brainerd MN where they raised their 3 children and she worked as a receptionist for General Parts & Supply, The arts department of Brainerd Community College & The Veterans Service Office and in later years was a “Demo Lady” at County Market, but the one job she was the most proud of was being an Election Judge for 50 years.

Mandi is survived by Sons Todd of Brainerd, Benjamin (Sally) of Pine River and daughter Dottie Bisted (Tim Ryberg) of Brainerd; grandchildren Justin (Brooke), Griffin, Kylie (Brady Hall), Tate, Paige and Lee Bisted; great grandchildren Brontё Graham, Zoey and Aiden Mathison; sister Lee Paulson, sister’s in-law Kay Borowski and Cornell Gully; brother in-law Carlton Lindsey; numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.

Mandi was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years Jerry, her parents, sister Laura Larson, Brother Roger Borowski; brother’s in-law Fritz Paulson, Wally Larson, Morris and Tim Bisted; sister’s in-law Rosie Bisted, Barb Blixt and Bertha Lindsey; daughter in-law Laura Bisted; nephews Al, Jim and George Blixt.

The family would like to thank Lakewood Care Center and the Hospice team for their wonderful loving care.

Services will be held 11am on Wednesday, April 8, 2026 at the Halvorson-Taylor Funeral Home in Brainerd, with a visitation one hour prior. Burial will follow at Gull River Cemetery.
