Bernice Louise Klippenes

Bernice Klippenes, age 93, of Crosslake, passed away on December 22, 2024. She was born on February 4, 1931, in Jamestown North Dakota to Clifford & Florence (Rudnick) Tarbell. She married the love of her life, George Klippenes on March 6, 1947. She was the beloved mother to their 4 children, George (deceased), Donald, Jeffrey and Shirley, as well as a grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother, and caregiver to anyone down on their luck.

Bernice was the happiest with a grandchild on her lap, a cup of coffee and a cookie in her hand and getting caught up on the latest happenings. She was always good for a story and a laugh.

Bernice is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 66 years, George; son, George (Peggy); parents; brother, Dennis Tarbell.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Donald Klippenes, Jeffrey (Jacqueline) Klippenes and Shirley (Jim) Boelter; 10 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren.

Funeral service for Benice will be held on Saturday, January 11, 2025, at 1PM at Good Shephard Free Lutheran Church. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Oak Grove Cemetery.
