Beth Anderson

d. September 26, 2021

Beth “Skippy” Anderson Beth Anderson, 68, passed away on September 26th at Essentia Health in Brainerd, MN. Beth was born in 1953 to Donald and Ellen (Johnson) Kjelstrup in California. She moved to Minnesota as a young child and was proud to be a Brainerd resident for most of her life. Beth was married to Tom Anderson for 41 years and raised two wonderful children, Josh and Kirsten. After receiving her nursing degree, Beth worked as a Registered Nurse in Minneapolis, St. Cloud, and Brainerd. The real passions and gifts of her life came out as an educator's aid for over 30 years at Whittier and Baxter schools through her naturally encouraging attitude. She took pride in being independent and will be remembered for her strong will and big heart. Beth constantly put others first, and this showed in her passion for entertaining, cooking, and parties. She especially enjoyed a good costume party, even if she was the only one dressed up! Beth loved golden retrievers, Cheetos, playing dice and being at the lake. She is survived by her son Josh Anderson and his wife Christina; daughter Kirsten Anderson and her fiancé Brian Nygord; and brother James Kjelstrup and his wife Val; Grandchildren: Jeryn, Mara, Elsa and Jackie. She will be missed dearly by family and friends. Beth was a lifelong educator and deeply dedicated to the children of the Brainerd Area Community.
