Bruce Joseph Janacek

Bruce Joseph Janacek, age 64, of Brainerd passed away unexpectedly at his home on Tuesday, May 13, 2025. Bruce was born in Brainerd to Felix & Mary Jane (Wild) Janacek on May 28, 1960.

Bruce loved spending time with his grandchildren. He enjoyed teaching people and creating new experiences for them. He was a coach and a fan of Softball and Hockey. Bruce savored the outdoors, lots of his time was spent hunting, fishing, motorcycling and riding vintage snowmobiles.

Bruce is survived by his sons, Jeremy (Christina) Janacek and Bryan Janacek; daughter, Karissa Janacek; siblings, Mary Jane (Roger) Brewster, Linda (Wayne Dye) Janacek, Judi (Kerry) Kupferschmidt and Cyndi (Bill) Graham; sister-in-law, Dr. Sally Colwell; grandchildren, Raegan, Marek, Madilynn, Dominik and Adrik; nieces and nephews.

Bruce is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Jeff Janacek; beloved dog, Tig.

A memorial service for Bruce will be held on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at 11AM at Zion Lutheran Church. Visitation one hour prior. A gathering after the funeral will be held at Oak Lawn Tavern at 2PM.
