Bruce Wayne Maier

Bruce (Buck) Maier, age 63, of Brainerd, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, November 24, 2017. He was born on June 10, 1954 in Brainerd, MN to Wayne and Doris (Evenson) Maier. Buck married Ellen Uran on June 10, 1976, in New Town, ND. He is a USAF veteran (1973-1977). He was employed with Anderson Brothers Construction, Brainerd MN, (1979-2000) and with Crow Wing County Highway Department, Brainerd, MN, (2000-2010). Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Ellen; daughter, Deana (Brian) Kleindl of Glyndon; son, Nathan Maier of Roseau; his father, Wayne Maier; two sisters: Brenda (Mark) BonAmie of St. Cloud and Tamra (Kenneth) Athmann of Brainerd. Preceding him in death are his mother, Doris Maier; brother, Lawrence Maier. Memorial service will be held at 11AM, Wednesday, November 29, 2017, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Brainerd, with Military Honors provided by the Brainerd and American Legion Color Guard. Burial will be at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery, Little Falls. Friends may call 1 hour prior to the services at the church, Wednesday.
