Carrie Ann Knowlen

d. January 12, 2025

Carrie Knowlen, age 54, passed away peacefully on January 12th, surrounded by her loving family, after a courageous 10-year battle with breast cancer. Throughout her journey, she displayed incredible strength, boundless grace, and an unshakable faith that touched the hearts of everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Born on September 26th, 1970, in Brainerd, MN, Carrie was a beloved daughter, sister, auntie and friend. Above all, she was a devoted mother to her three special children: Jason, Jessica, and Jaime. Her children were her greatest joy, and their love gave her the strength to fight so valiantly.

Carrie will be remembered for her warm smile, kind heart, and the way she made everyone feel truly seen and loved. She had a genuine passion for helping others, which she showed through her work as an assistant teacher and Case Manager.

She is survived by her children, Jason Radke, Jessica Radke, and Jaime Radke; her parents, Carol Shipman and Glen Knowlen (Connie) ; her siblings, Christa Schnell (Brett) and Cammie Yokes (Shawn); her grandmother, Lucy Knowlen; and an extended family and circle of friends who will miss her deeply. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Marv and Helen Shipman; her grandfather, Richard Knowlen; and her beloved aunt, Tamara Knowlen.

A celebration of Carrie’s life will be held on Saturday, January 18th, at 11:00 AM, with visitation beginning at 10:00 AM, at Halverson-Taylor Funeral Home.

Carrie’s light may have dimmed on this earth, but her spirit will forever shine brightly in the hearts of all who knew her.
