Charles James Giese, 68, left us suddenly on November 11, 2025, Veterans Day, surrounded by his wife Teresa, family and friends. He left us a beautiful message in the sky as he danced through the Northern lights letting us know he's now at peace and pain free.
A Memorial Gathering will be held on Sunday November 16, 2025 from 4:00pm - 6:00pm at the Halvorson Taylor Funeral Home in Brainerd. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday November 18, 2025 at 11:00am at the Halvorson Taylor Funeral Home with Pastor Heath Beard officiating.
Chuck graduated from Aitkin High School in 1975. Served in the Navy until 1979. Played football at Brainerd Community College where he met the Love of his Life Teresa Smith and married in 1980. Graduated from HTC in Eden Prairie. He worked at Lewie's RV Center until an early disability retirement.
His life was full with hunting, fishing, RVing, Motorcycling, ATVing and spending time with friends and family. But in his last few years it was all about his grandson's. Just hanging out.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years Teresa, his daughter's, Tara Giese (Micah & River) and Trista Giese, Brother's Jon Giese (Corrina), Rick Giese, sister Julie Schlect (Randy) and many extended family members and many friends.
In leu of flowers, please send donations to local VFW in honor of his Navy service and passing on Veterans day.
