Cindy L. Gilbert, 64, of Brainerd, passed away at Essentia St. Joseph's Medical Center on Saturday, July 27, 2024,
Cindy is survived by her fiancé, John Urban; four children, Brandon Fox, Brady Fox, Jesse Fox , and Olivia Gilbert; seven grandchildren, Adyson Fox, Raegyn Fox, Asher Fox, Gracyn Fox, London Fox, Hayden Meyer, Liam Meyer; mother, Helen Haak; father Garry Haak; sisters, Jerri Therkilson, (Mike Johnson), Kayla Wersal (Martin Wersal); many aunts, uncles, cousins, and nieces and nephews; she will also be deeply missed by her fur babies, Piper Lou, Gigi June, and Bella Rose.
Cindy is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents; and her daughter, Brianna Hess.
Cindy Gilbert, aged 64, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 27, 2024. A devoted and cherished supervisor at Oakridge Homes for 35 years, Cindy dedicated her life to supporting individuals with disabilities. To Cindy, they were more than just those she served; they were family. Her deep love and compassion for each person she worked with spoke volumes about her character.
Cindy's legacy is one of kindness, empathy, and unwavering support. She was known for her quick-witted humor and generous spirit, always ready to lend an ear and offer thoughtful and realistic advice.
Outside of her professional life, Cindy found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She treasured long road trips with her love, John Urban. Cindy's life was enriched by her energetic children and grandchildren with whom she spent as much time as possible. Her home was always filled with laughter, love, and the joyful presence of her and John's three pups; Piper, Bellarose, and Gigi.
Cindy Gilbert leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and wild adventure. Her impact on the lives she touched will be felt for many years to come, and her memory will forever be cherished by her family, friends, and the countless individuals whose lives she made brighter.
A celebration of Cindy's life will be held at a later date, where friends and loved ones can gather to remember and honor the incredible woman she was.
