Carlson, Clarence Salem, passed away on January 10, 2022. Born September 5,1924 in Hibbing, MN. Lived in Robbinsdale, MN for 31 years. Moved to Brainerd in 1987 after retiring from General Mills. Served in the Army during WWII in the Normandy Invasion, Battle of the Bulge, and served in both European and Pacific Theaters. He was married to the love of his life Betty Jean Kenworthy for 67 years. He enjoyed being outside on his lawn tractor, riding his bike and woodworking. He had a wonderful sense of humor and will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jean; and son-in-law, Roger Johnson.
Survived by children, Sue (Randy) Kehn, Gail Johnson, Skot (Debbie Benson) Carlson, Dyann (Kim) Barritt; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; Einar and Maj-Len Lindholm; and many relatives in the Aland Islands, Finland.
Memorial services at Lutheran Church of the Cross, Nisswa, MN, 11:00AM, Friday January, 14, 2022 with visitation one hour prior. Interment Crystal Lake Cemetery, Mpls, 10:30AM, Saturday, January 15,2022.
Memorials preferred to the Shriner Childrens's Hospital.
