Collette Wagner

Collette Joan Wagner, age 89, of Baxter, passed away on Sunday, May 17, 2026, at Bethany Good Samaritan. Collette was born in Brainerd on January 16, 1937, to Archie & Gladys (Johnson) Grenier.

Collette attended Brainerd High School and met the love of her life, Milton Wagner in 1953. Collette graduated from Brainerd in 1955. Collette and Milton married on September 26, 1956. They made their home in Baxter where they welcomed their two boys, Brackett and Durand. Collette was a stay-at-home mom while the boys were growing up. After they graduated, she attended Alexandria Vo-Tech earning a degree in Interior Design. She started her own business, Collette’s Custom Draperies. She continued her company until her hands started to fail her.

Collette started bowling in the 8thgrade and bowled up until she was 87. Even though she stopped bowling, she still enjoyed the bowling leagues lunch dates. Collette competed in 25 National Tournaments, numerous State Tournaments, and one National Senior Tournament.

A very special Thank You to all the wonderful neighbors, especially Kathy and Dan, nurses at Bethany Good Samaritan and Hospice.

Left to cherish her memory are her beloved husband of 69 years, Milton; son, Durand (Susan); brother, Joseph (Carlene) Grenier; niece, Tina (John) Landsburg; nephew, Jospeh Grenier; great nieces, Marlee and Madison.

She is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Delores (Toby) Creger; son, Brackett.

A Celebration of Life for Collette will be held at Halvorson Taylor Life Events Center, on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, from 11AM-1PM. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery.
