Cory Edward Crust

Cory Edward Crust, age 43, passed away on Monday, January 16, 2023. Cory was born on June 9, 1979 in Brainerd to David & Bonnie (Evans) Crust.

Cory was a proud Union Tile Setter. He loved people, music, the outdoors and was passionate in everything he did. His bear hugs were tender yet strong at the same time. His laugh could fill a room and create the urge to smile and laugh with him. He was a father that knew no end for his son and step daughter, they were his life. In the last few years Cory was lost in heart and spirit; he tried to find meaning in the world around him but without his son nothing made sense.

Left to cherish his memory are his parents; David & Bonnie Crust; grandmother, Carol Crust; stepdaughter, Summer Gonzalez-Ovitt; siblings: James (Kristie), Christopher (Elizabeth), and Emma Crust; nieces and nephews: Jon, Jaz, Jessa, Ruby and Ollie; many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Cory is preceded in death by his grandparents, Donald Crust, Beverly Rogers and James Evans; and his beloved son, Murdoch

A celebration of Life for Cory will be held on Friday, January 20, 2023, at 1:30PM at Halvorson Taylor Life Events Center. Visitation will start at 12PM.
