Daniel Andrew Peka, age 64, of Bowlus, passed away on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, at St Gabriel’s Hospital, with his sisters at his side. Danny was born in Little Falls, to Leo & Valerie (Horvath) Peka on July 11, 1960. He was the seventh child in the family. Danny served his country in the US Army and was a member of the American Legion. He worked for Fort Snelling National Cemetery for numerous years. He also owned and operated Peka Booze Bar in Royalton for a few years.
Danny was a fun going, happy guy. He loved gardening and John Deere Tractors. Taking care of his lawn was his first concern and he also took great pride in keeping the grounds in pristine condition at the family cemetery. Danny always had the companionship of a faithful dog, which he spoiled immensely. He was loved by his family and friends. He will be greatly missed.
Left to cherish his memory are his sisters, Karen Herbes, Lora (Jim) Bartkowicz and Paula (Tim) Theisen; brother-in-law, Alan Dancer; a wild bunch of nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews; dear friends, and his beloved Bubba.
Danny is preceded in death by his father, Leo Peka; mother, Valerie Peka; beloved aunt, Mary Horvath; brother, Tim (TP) Peka; sister, Nancy Dancer; infant sister, Mary Helen; many pets.
A funeral service for Danny will be held on Monday, November 25, 2024, at 11AM at Community Country Church of Holdingford. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Interment at St Mary’s Orthodox Cemetery.
