David Eigenheer, age 75, of Brainerd, Minnesota, passed away on August 31, 2025. He was born on December 26, 1949, in Brainerd, where he grew up and graduated from Brainerd High School in 1967.
On May 8, 1992, David married Carolyn in Harding County, Kentucky. They shared a devoted partnership filled with love and commitment. He was deeply committed to serving his country, dedicating 22 years to the United States military. During his service, he achieved the rank of E7, served 1 tour in Vietnam, and spent 12 years stationed in Germany amongst other stationed duties.
Beyond his military career, David had a lifelong love of antiques and enjoyed collecting marbles. He also loved fishing, gardening, spending time outdoors, and continuously learning new things.
David is survived by his wife, Carolyn; his children Paul (Jennifer), Teresa (Peter), Angie Eigenheer, and Clifton Pendleton; and his grandchildren Andrew, Maleah Eigenheer, and Miles Avinger. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dorothy and Harley, as well as his brothers Bradley, Steven, and Jerry.
David will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his service to his country, and the many passions that brought him joy throughout his life.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 5, 2025, at Halvorson Taylor Funeral Home in Brainerd. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by the service at 11:00 a.m. Burial with military honors will take place at Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery in Little Falls at 2:00 p.m.
