Dwight “Ike” Edmund Lindberg, age 91, of Baxter, passed away at his home on Tuesday, April 30, 2024. Dwight was a twin born on October 11, 1932, in Brainerd to Rudolph & Anna (Koering) Lindberg. He served his country in the US Army. Ike also worked at Potlatch. He married the love of his life, Marilyn “Toots” Jean Henrikson on September 10, 1955, and together they raised 4 children.
Ike was a true outdoorsman at heart. He loved hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, and stockcar racing. He enjoyed participating in the demolition derby. He was often found out in his man cave painting cars. Ike and Toots enjoyed years of taking to the boys to motorcross on Sunday’s. They were members of the Pequot Lakes Car Club for many years.
Left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife of 68 years, Toots; children, Gregory Lindberg, Mark (LuAnn) Lindberg, Theresa (Ivan) Lemke and Marcia (Steeves) Pascal; grandchildren, Lindsey Lemke, Lexi Lemke, Scott Boller, Ryan Boller, Ryan Bodell and Emily Bodell; great-grandchildren, Tayton, Ayianna, Cayden, Jensen and Braysen.
Ike is preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Virginia, Raymond, Leslie, Rudolph Jr., and twin brother, Duane.
A memorial service for Ike will be held on Friday, May 10, 2024, at 1PM at Halvorson Taylor Life Events Center. Visitation one hour prior to the service.
