Frederick (Fred) L Johnson

Frederick L. Johnson age 81 a 29 year resident of Carefree Living in Brainerd, passed away on September 10, 2020. Fred was born on August 12, 1939 in Brainerd, MN to Gudrun (Swartout) and Arthur Johnson. Fred will be remembered as a practical joker who had a laugh that was contagious. Fred loved his bib overalls along with his large collection of John Deere memorabilia. He shared many memories about growing up on the farm. Fred is preceded in death by dad, Arthur; daughter Sheryl; and son, David. He is survived by his mother, Gudrun; children, Wesley, LeRoy and Jimmy; brother, James W. (Betty Lou) Johnson; sister, Shirley (Basil) O’Neil; niece, Ronda; nephews, Rich and Tom. A Funeral service for Fred will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, September 19, 2020 at the Halvorson Taylor Life Events Center, 512 S. 8th Street in Brainerd, visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
