Gary R Miller

Gary R. Miller, age 80 of Brainerd passed away on Friday, November 8, 2024, at Essentia Health- St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Brainerd. Gary was born in Staples, Minnesota on November 20,1943, to Charline (Cruse) and Rodney W. Miller. After graduating from Staples High School, Gary entered the Army, serving during the Vietnam Era. Gary owned and operated his own Upholstery business for many years. He enjoyed everything outdoors. Fishing and Hunting, as well as being an avid motorcyclist.

Gary is preceded in death by his parents, Charline and Rodney Miller; brother, Ross Miller; and son, Curt Klatt.

Survivors include his wife, Dianne; children, Mike (Sherry) Miller, Joshua (Shannon) Miller, Traci (Shawn) Xurvein, Michelle Klatt, Penny (Mark) Leadens, Jackie (Tim) Winterfeld; foster son, John Gae; Dianne’s children, Kelly (Jacoby) Holmes, Jayme Holmes, Kim (Kevin) Larson; many grandchildren; and great grandchildren; siblings, Rodney D. (Sharon) Miller, Scott (Tammy) Miller, Beth (Tom) Yule, Janell Miller; brother-in-law, and good friend, Wayne Wooden; also many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service for Gary will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, November 16, 2024, at Oak Street Chapel in Brainerd. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
