Gary West

On January 5th, our brother Gary West was holding the hand of one of his best friend's (Lou's) hand when he took the hand of Jesus to transition from this life to the next. Gary brought Blessing, Encouragement, Hope, and an Awareness of the Most High, into most every conversation with people. Truly an Amazing man for those who knew him.

Gary leaves behind many friends and family members. His reach was to Belize, and the Philippines, to people all over the United States. I heard so many stories from his friends and family regarding how much of an impact that Gary had on other people, and some of his family was even there to encourage me during this transition. For those who knew Gary, they are forever changed because of Him. He will be missed, but he wanted us all to Celebrate his life and be Encouraged for a future beyond comprehension. Gary had planned "to get everything warmed up and ready" for when our own transition comes.

Service will be held at 12pm on Friday, February 13, 2026, at the Halvorson-Taylor Funeral Home with a visitation one hour prior. Interment will follow at 2pm at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery.
