Gene T Dennemeyer

Eugene Thomas Dennemeyer, age 76, of Motley, passed away on Wednesday, May 17, 2023, in Baxter at Diamond Willow Assisted Living. Gene was born on October 21, 1946, in Staples to Angela (Adamietz) and Albert Dennemeyer. Gene spent his entire life on the farm working with his father. Gene’s land adjoined the family farm that had been in the family for over 100 years.

Gene graduated from Staples High School in 1964. He served in the Army Reserves for 6 years. Gene worked as a Lineman Electrician for Todd Wadena Electric for 30 years. Gene loved the outdoors, hunting, and fishing on the Crow Wing River. He also enjoyed driving around the neighborhood in his truck. Gene enjoyed having company and was great with conversation.

Gene is survived by his former wife, Anne Converse; sister, Frances Dennemeyer; nephews, Richard and Kenneth Geske.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Angela and Albert Dennemeyer; sister, Agnes Geske.

Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, May 22, 2023, at 11AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Staples. Visitation will be one hour prior to mass. Interment at Evergreen Hill Cemetery.
