Gladys Knutson

Gladys R. Knutson 88-year-old resident of Brainerd, MN passed away December 10, 2020 at Woodland Good Samaritan Village. A memorial service will be held in the spring of 2021 at Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church in Baxter, MN. Burial will be at Minnesota State Veteran Cemetery in Little Falls, MN. Gladys was born on July 6, 1932 in Minneapolis, MN to Otto and Florence Atneosen. She was united in marriage to Dickman Knutson on June 20, 1953 in Minneapolis, MN. Gladys enjoyed fishing, gardening, and making mints & decorating cakes for special occasions. Her favorite color was blue, and her favorite flower was a rose. She volunteered at The Center making donuts. Gladys loved making crafts for special events and holidays. She was involved and committed to her church. Gladys will be remembered as a good listener, kind person, and compassionate toward others. She wanted everyone to “be kind to one another.” Gladys is survived by her son, Craig (Lisa) Knutson; brothers, Arland (Mickey) Atneosen, Otto (Diane) Atneosen, Thomas (Candy) Atneosen; grandchildren, Sarah, Andrew, Justin (KC), Jesse, Rick (Vicki); great-grandsons, Jaysen, and Ocean. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Kim Homac; grandson, Jaysen Thompson; daughter-in-law, Mary Knutson, and two brothers. Arrangements are with Halvorson Taylor Funeral Home in Brainerd.
