Harry M. McCoy, 101-year-old resident of Motley, MN passed away Saturday, October 26, 2024 at the VA Hospital in St. Cloud, MN.
Harry was born on October 5, 1923, in Baudette, MN to the late Charles and Esther (Davidson) McCoy. He served in the US Army during WWII in 802 Tank Battalion in the European Theater. Harry was united in marriage to Neva Benson and the couple resided in the Motley-Leader area their entire married life. Harry farmed for many years and enjoyed every minute of it. After retirement he kept busy visiting with friends and neighbors. He was a lifelong member of the Motley Free Methodist Church, Motley American Legion and various other agricultural organizations. Harry was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
He is survived by son, Rex (Vangie) McCoy; stepson, Ronald Welsh; sister, Shirley Feakes; grandchildren, Liana McCoy, Rebecca Beckrich, Sarah Bassett, and Mike Toth.
Harry was preceded in death by parents, Charles and Esther McCoy; wife, Neva McCoy; and daughter, Jeanne Marie McCoy.
Funeral Service for Harry will be held on Friday, November 8, 2024, at 11AM at Motley Free Methodist Church in Motley. Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 7, 2024, at the church from 4-7PM, and one hour prior to the service Friday.
