James Wood Bandel

James Wood Bandel, age 81, of Brainerd, passed away at Troy and Dawn’s home on Sunday, May 19, 2024. Jim married his true love, Judith Hammerstad on November 12, 1966.

Jim is survived by his wife of 57 years, Judy; children, Troy (Dawn) Bandel, Richard Bandel, Wade Bandel and Tracey (Trent Matich) Bandel; brother, Larry Schwedeman; grandchildren, Alisa Bandel, Amber Bandel, Alicia (Nick Peterson) Bandel, Christian Bandel, Luke Brodal, Laura Carlson, TJ Bandel, Cody (Amanda) Bandel, Jake Matich, Matthew (Megan) Matich and Falynn Lane; many great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his children, Anne and Jamie; grandchildren, Logan Brodal, Justin Bandel, Nigel Bandel and Natalie Bandel.

A memorial service for Jim will be held at Oak Street Chapel on Friday, May 31, 2024, at 3PM. Visitation one prior to the service.
