Jeffrey Fleisher

Jeffrey “Jeff” Mark Fleisher, age 65, passed away of natural causes on March 22, 2026, in Baxter, Minnesota. Jeff was born on April 30, 1960, in Albert Lea, Minnesota, to Bill and Jo (Moran) Fleisher. He graduated from Brainerd High School in 1978 and then enlisted in the Army, where he served as a combat engineer for three years. He returned home to Brainerd in September of 1981 and shortly after began working at North Star Plating. Jeff’s career with North Star Plating/Keystone Automotive lasted nearly 42 years; he retired in September 2022. Through his many years there, he developed an impressive knowledge of cars and could identify nearly any vehicle by its bumper alone.

Jeff had two great joys in life—first and foremost, his daughter, Jackie. He was incredibly proud of her and cherished every moment they spent together. Secondly, Jeff had a passion for his 1970 Chevy Nova SS, which he proudly raced at Brainerd International Raceway for many years, even taking home a first place win in 1996.

In his free time, Jeff enjoyed hunting, fishing, and watching football. He had a great sense of humor and an easygoing nature, and he truly appreciated the simple things in life—whether that meant time with loved ones, working with his hands, or sharing a laugh.

Jeff is survived by his daughter, Jackie Fleisher; siblings Jody (Terry) Tomporowski, Joe (Kathy) Fleisher, and Jean (Jerry) Beckmann; as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Jo Fleisher. Jeff will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday April 11, 2026 at 11:00am at the Halvorson Taylor Funeral Home in Brainerd. There will be a visitation held beginning at 10:00am at the funeral home. Military Honors will be posted following the service. There will be a lunch served following the service at the funeral home.
