Jimmy (James) Lee

James (Jimmy) A. Lee age 81 of Brainerd passed away at Edgewood Vista in Brainerd on August 21, 2019. Memorial services for Jimmy will be held at 12 noon on Monday, August 26, 2019 at the Halvorson Taylor Life Events Center, 512-South 8th Street in Brainerd with visitation from 10:00am-12:00pm. Jimmy was born on April 4, 1938 in Freeborn County, Minnesota to Kathryn (Horan) and Elmer Lee. Jimmy proudly served his country from 1955-1967 in the Army Reserves as a paratrooper with over 29 jumps. He attained the rank of Staff Sargent. He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Kenny; and step-mother, Edith Lee. Jimmy married Janette (Winter) on August 9th, 1958 in Staples, MN. Together they raised three children. He will be deeply missed by his wife, Janette; children, Debbie (Corey) Lee-Picha of West St. Paul, Wayne Lee of Princeton, and Brenda (Craig) Zierden of Farmington; sister, Caroline (Twinkie) Seideman of Staples; half-sisters, Mary Ann Nichols of Staples, and Donna (Henry) Lee-Boelz of Sebeka; half-brothers, Glen (Brenda) Lee of Brainerd, and Darrel (Kathy) Lee of Plummer, MN; grandchildren, Amanda Lee of Brainerd, Jessica (Kjel Farr) Lee of Mounds View, Megan Lee of Farmington; great grandchildren, Aubrey Lee-Otterness, Jackson Farr, and Marnie Farr.
