Joseph Frank Mills, Jr

Joseph Frank Mills, Jr, age 44, of Brainerd, passed away unexpectedly from natural causes at his home on Sunday, April 21, 2024. Joe was born in Brainerd on July 15, 1979, to Joe & Judy (Caughey) Mills.

Joe Jr went to Lake Region Christian School through the 8th grade. He graduated from A Beka home school services in 1997. In 1999, Joe Jr earned a degree from the Carpentry program at Northwestern Technical College in Wadena. Joe was a true master at carpentry. He worked for Norson, Baratto Brothers and independently. He enjoyed fishing and loved wheeling and dealing antiques and collectibles.

Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Joe & Judy; beloved German Shepherds, Yara and Ovi; aunts and uncles, Edwin (Shannon) Mills, Jr, Mike (Bunny) Caughey, Wayne (Jenny) Caughey, Steve (Kari) Caughey, Brian Caughey and Gayle (Dale) Kampa; many cousins and dear friends.

Joe Jr is preceded in death by his sister, Jackie Mills; grandparents, Edwin & Luetta Mills and Kenneth & Kathryn Caughey.

Funeral service for Joe Jr will be held on Tuesday, April 30, 2024, at 11AM at Halvorson Taylor Life Events Center. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Interment at Riverside Cemetery.
