Joseph Jay Ruether

Joseph Jay Ruether, age 49, of Baxter passed away on Friday, March 6, 2020. Joe was born on September 28, 1970 in Appleton, Minnesota to Greg & Mary (Johannsen) Ruether. Joe married the love of his life, Jodie Washburn on February 14, 2003. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Jodie; children: Treyton Ruether of Holloway; Amara and Myah Ruether of Baxter; father, Greg Ruether of Appleton; mother, Mary Miller of Appleton; sisters; Alana (Peter) Rens of Appleton, Kim (Jim) Stock of Morris, LouEllen (Trevor) Ruether of Appleton; mother in law, Terri Kautz of Baxter; nieces and nephews. Joe is preceded in death by his father in law, Robert Kautz. A memorial service for Joe will be held on Wednesday, March 18, 2020 at 11AM at Halvorson Taylor Life Events Center (512 S 8th St, Brainerd). Visitation will be Tuesday, March 17, 2020 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Interment will be at the Minnesota State Veteran Cemetery.
