Joyce Krueger

Joyce Elaine Krueger age 84 of Brainerd passed away on March 10, 2020 at the Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She was born July 17, 1935 in Hayward, Minnesota to Agnes K. (Nelson) and Henry C. Hanson. She is preceded in death by her parents; sons, Ronald, Henry "Babe", and Christopher ; brother, Sonny Hanson. She was a long time resident of Brainerd and worked 20 years at the Brainerd Area Regional Human Services Center as a Minnesota Retardation Program Lead. Joyce was a long time member of First Lutheran Church, enjoying singing in the choir and fellowship with many friends there. Some of her hobbies included crocheting, the weekly Globe crossword puzzle, and shopping for bargains. You could also find her watching The Price Is Right, soap operas, and America's Funniest Videos. Everyone loved Joyce and her infectious smile. Joyce will be deeply missed by her children, Roland (Linda) Krueger, Timothy Krueger, Manvil Krueger, Noland Krueger, Ronna (Steve Arey) Krueger, and Ronda (Steve) Jones; grandchildren, James (Jessica) Renn, Nathan Krueger, Gwen (Michael Johnson) Scott, Rene Krueger, Hudson Krueger-Garcia, and Cody Jones; 12 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; sisters, Pat (Al) Pule, Janice Morgan, and faithful companion Buddy. Funeral service on Saturday, March 21, 2020 at 10AM at Halvorson Taylor Life Events Center (512 S 8th St). Visitation on Friday, March 20, 2020 from 5-8PM at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service, Saturday. Burial in Mankato at Pilgrims Rest Cemetery at 4PM.
