Karen M Kurilla

May 24, 1941 — December 28, 2022

Karen M. Kurilla age 81 of Merrifield, passed away on December 28, 2022 at St. Mary's Hospital in Duluth.

Karen May Kurilla (Kraemer)

Born 5-24-41 in Minneapolis MN graduated to her most longed after location, HEAVEN! Next to her desire to be with her family through her life, she always spoke of going home someday. Home being that place her heavenly father and biological father were both at.

Karen left this earth, running full speed, just as she always said she would do again, hearing the words of her Lord saying "well done my good and faithful servant", on 12-28-22 from Duluth MN ( a place because of her disabilities, she was not a fan of) She is survived by her two sons, Firstborn, Bradley Thomas Kurilla (with wife Leah Marie Kurilla, and grandchild Chaleesha Marie Kurilla, great grand child Avah Jade Garin, grandchild Chastity Anne Bethel (Kurilla) husband Scott Edward Bethel, great grand child Jayden Scott Bethel, Jasper Thomas Bethel, grandchild Chase Bradley Thomas Kurilla with wife Steena Marie Kurilla and great grand children Keegan James Kurilla, Addyson River Kurilla, ) and Karen's number two son, Kurtis Anthony Kurilla with wife Rebecca Lee Kurilla. Her brother Darrel Kraemer (wife Bonnie Kraemer) and sister Linda McSweeney(Kraemer).

Karen is and will be greatly and selfishly missed from now until we run together in Heaven and on the new earth. Karen fought all her life against Multiple Sclerosis, other adversities and diseases from the time she was a child until she died, although you would never hear her ask why, she never complained to God, she never was mad at God, she always praised God and thanked him for her life and family. And she never gave power to her difficulties and diseases. Karen knew her God was bigger than everything and you could hear her daily saying "I can do all things through Jesus Christ who strengthens me". One thing about Karen is that she never wanted to be a burden to anyone and that's how she lived her life. She was always joyful and put others always above herself. She had the neatest humor and loved to make people smile and laugh. She was always quick to forgive, and Mom's greatest desire was for everyone she came in contact with to know Jesus Christ as their personal savior. She would often say, if you don't know God while you're alive, what makes you think you'll know him after you die, meaning we must have a true meaningful relationship with our Creator. Karen loved all of you and her friends very dearly.

Karen's memorial service will be held at Heritage Assemblies of God Church in Baxter, MN on May 13th, 2023 at 2 PM.
