Kathleen (Kathy) M Paulson

Kathleen Mae (Heikkenen) Paulson, age 73, of Brainerd, passed away at Essentia-St Joseph’s Medical Center on January 27, 2025, after compilcations of a serious Traumatic Brain Injury. Kathy was born on October 26, 1951, in Brainerd, to Thomas & Alta (Creger) Heikkenen. She graduated from Brainerd High School in 1970. She attended Brainerd Vo Tech and received a degree in Medical Transcription. Kathy worked for St Joseph’s Hospital, BMC and Essentia.

Kathy was a loving wife, mom and grandma. She loved the outdoors and traveling. She enjoyed bowling and playing cards. Kathy was first and foremost a people person. She was always the first to strike up a conversation.

Kathy is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Judy; sister-in-law, Georgia.

Kathy is survived by her beloved husband of almost 53 years, Phil; son, Chad (Kathy Toesing); grandchildren, Abigail Paulson and Wyatt Paulson; many relatives, nieces and nephews.

She will be forever missed by family and friends.

A gathering of Family and Friends will be held on Friday, February 21, 2025, at Halvorson Taylor Life Events Center from 5-7PM.
