Katie Marie Yaunick

Katie Marie Yaunick, age 33, of Brainerd passed away on Monday, June 13, 2022, from the result of an accident. Katie was born in Brainerd on February 25, 1989, to Steven & Tina (Ahlgrim) Yaunick.

Katie was quiet and shy at first, but after meeting her you could see she was strong willed, stubborn and could accomplish anything she set her mind to. She was the rock and hub of her family; everyone came to her with questions or problems, and she happily solved them. Her love for her family, horses and dogs was unconditional. She will be missed by many people, across all walks of life.

Left to cherish her memory are her Fiancé, Justin Hardy; parents, Steve & Tina Yaunick; grandfather, Ronald Ahlgrim; brother, Jason Yaunick; uncles & aunts, Daniel (Cammy) Yaunick, Jim (Lana) Yaunick, Ken (Terry Baker), Chari (James) Andrew, Brett Hoplin; many cousins, friends, and fur babies.

Katie is preceded in death by her grandparents, Leon & Ethel Yaunick and Loretta Ahlgrim.

A gathering of family and friends will be held at Halvorson Taylor Life Events Center on Monday, June 20, 2022, starting at 12PM, please come prepared to share your favorite memories of Katie at 1PM. A visitation will be held Sunday, June 19, 2022, from 5-8PM at the funeral home.

Interment will be at Maple Grove Cemetery.

Memorials are preferred.
