Kenneth Leslie Engholm

Kenneth Leslie Engholm, age 92, of Brainerd, passed away on Thursday, October 28, 2021, at Cuyuna Medical Center. Kenny was born on October 3, 1929, in Brainerd to Carl & Jennie (Anderson) Engholm, they had 12 children, Kenny being the youngest. He married the love of his life, Luella Eue on April 22, 1950. They raised eight sons and one daughter on the family farm in the South Long Lake area.

Kenny retired from Burlington Northern Railroad with 40+ years of service.

Left to cherish his memory are his children: Jack (Linda) of Brainerd, David (Sue) of Ramsey, Randy (Tristy) of Brainerd, Gary (Betty) of Fort Ripley, Loren (Brenda) of Brainerd, Keith (Mary) of Emmett, KS, Brian (Donna) of Brainerd, Robbie (Angie) of Pequot Lakes and Tammy (Joe) Hinch of Brainerd; 32 grandchildren; 72 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Gretchen “Joanne” Hoggarth of Brainerd.

Kenny is preceded in death by his parents; beloved wife, Luella; siblings: Myrtle, Esther, Ted, Oscar, Marie, Dorothy, Carl, Robert, Albert, Ruthie and Eleanor; grandson, Jacob Hinch.

A celebration of life will be held in the spring.
