Leona Bjerga Crider

Leona J. Bjerga Crider age 96 of Motley passed away peacefully on March 22, 2019 at the Lakewood Care Center in Staples. She was the youngest of 10 children born to Esther (Ferguson) and Rudolph A. Quade in May Township, Minnesota. In 1941 she married Mikkel Bjerga in Motley, Minnesota. Leona was employed for 20 years as a Nurse's Aide at the United District Hospital in Staples. She enjoyed viewing wildlife, sewing, crocheting, fishing and visiting with friends and family. She is preceded in death by her first husband, Mikkel Bjerga; and second husband, Kenneth Crider; as well as her nine siblings. She will be deeply missed by her sons, Rudy (Joan) of Staples, Mike (Judy) of Motley, and Dale (Lorna) of Havre, Montana; grandchildren, Laurie (Mike) Craft, Gloria (Barry) Jansson, Rudy (Mary) Bjerga, Joey (Lorrie) Bjerga, Daniel (Lisa) Bjerga, Philip (Heidi) Bjerga, Missy (Tim) Tureson; 14 great grandchildren; 7 great great grandchildren. A funeral service for Leona will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, March 28, 2019 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Motley with visitation one hour prior to the service at the church.
