Lynn Lenk

Lynn Lenk, age 76, of Staples, passed away on Saturday, September 21, 2019, at Central Todd County Care Center in Clarissa. Lynn was born on October 2, 1942 in Michigan to James C. & Katherine (Greenwood) Kelly. She married the love of her life, Edward Lenk on February 17, 1962 and together they had six children. They moved to Staples in 1970, where they worked a hobby farm. Lynn owned and operated the Hair Hut and the Wash Shed in Motley. She enjoyed spending her free time in her flower gardens, bowling, fishing, crocheting, and quilting. She especially loved her softball team, “Ma’s Boys”. She was a girl scout leader and a past president of the VFW Auxillary. Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 57 years, Ed; children: Michelle Ludovissie of Chaska, Karen (Bud Peterson) Lenk of Williston, ND, Gidget (Kevin) Rustad of Pengilly, John (Jackie) of Princeton, Scott (Robin) of Staples; siblings: John (Linda) Kelly of Ellsworth, WI, and Sue (Steve) Wilder of Victoria; 14 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren. Lynn is preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Kathy Nelson A mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2019 at 11AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Staples. Visitation will be on Friday from 4-7PM at Taylor Funeral Home in Staples, and one hour prior to the Mass, Saturday at the church. Interment will be at Evergreen Hill Cemetery in Staples.
