Mae Louise Frisch

Mae Louise (Ehmke) Frisch was born July 11,1925 to Carl Earl and Lelia Maye (Thomas) Ehmke in Winfield, Kansas.
Mae moved to Minnesota in 1941 at the age of 16. She lived with grandparents until she met Donald Frisch. Donald and Mae were married July 25, 1943. They resided on the Barbeau Rd for years. Mae resided at Edgewood Assisted Living Facilities in Brainerd until her passing on Tuesday, April 5,2022.

Mae worked for many well know families of Brainerd. Before retiring Mae was a floral designer at Brainerd Floral for a total of close to 25 years. Working with flowers was her passion. While at home she enjoyed working in the many flower gardens she had. She enjoyed spending time with all the cats, she had over her lifetime. She enjoyed playing cards and visiting casinos.

Mae was a very loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She is survived by her son, Gary (Josie) of Great Falls, MT; two daughters, Betty Christian (David) of Brainerd, MN and Sheila Smith (Bob) of Garrison; brother, Gary Leon Rice (Judy) of Jens, OK; sister, Judy K. Weaver of Wynona, Ok; sister-in-law, Lois Ehmke of Brainerd; 5 grand children; 11 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by a son, Larry; her parents; husband, Donald; brother, Frank; sister, Virginia; grandson , Michael ; great granddaughter Isla.
A Gathering of Family and Friends celebrating Mae’s life will be held on Saturday, July 23, 2022 from 11AM - 2PM at Oak Street Chapel, in Brainerd.
