Mary Louise Andrews-Spilman

Mary Louise Andrews-Spilman, age 84, of Brainerd, passed away on Thursday, September 22, 2022, at Bethany Good Samaritan. Mary was born on August 17, 1938, in Brainerd to Delbert H. & Elmira B. (Mose) Lamont. She married Bernard Andrews on May 6, 1961 and together they raised two sons. After Bernie’s death in 1991, Mary married Edward Spilman on September 5, 1998.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Ed Spilman; sons, Brian (Brooke) Andrews, Sr. and Mark (Michelle) Andrews; sister, Arliss Spicer; grandchildren, Brian (Tina) Andrews, Jr., Kaylee Bowlin and Brock (Brittany) Andrews; great-granddaughters, Emmy, Lainie and Ingrid; stepchildren: Bruce (Cynthia) Spilman, Lanette (Michael) Faul, Mark Spilman and Neal (Lucinda) Spilman; step-grandchildren: Dain (Allison) Spilman, Abigail Spilman, Alex Spilman, Erin (Michael) Kamrowski, Allina (Nate) Johnson, Timothy Faul, Eva (Matt) Johnson, Dexter (Andrea) Spilman, Nathaniel (Cara) Spilman and Lindsy (Brandon) Fuller; and 20 step great-grandchildren.

Mary is preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Bernie; brothers, Jerry and Donald Lamont; stepson, Joel Spilman.

A memorial service for Mary will be held on Monday, October 3, 2022, at 11AM at Park United Methodist Church. Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 2, 2022, from 4-7PM at Halvorson Taylor Life Events Center, and one hour prior to the service, Monday at the church. Interment will be at Evergreen Memorial Gardens, 17200 Memorial Gardens Rd, Brainerd, MN.
