Mary W Johnson

Mary W. Johnson, age 92, of Brainerd, passed away surrounded by her family on Friday, December 13, 2013, at Birchwood – Good Samaritan. Mary was born in Crawfordsville, IN to Henry & Doris (Farmer) Walter. Mary married Douglas Johnson in 1948 in Minneapolis; after they were married they moved to Watertown, South Dakota. Mary was very creative, making special crocheted animals and toys. She also enjoyed baking and sewing. Mary was a lifetime member of St. Marks Episcopal Church, in Aberdeen, SD, where she loved serving her Lord through the alter guild and many projects in the church. She was also a lifetime member of PEO. Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Jane (Bruce) Williams of Woodbury, MN and Nancy Wallen of Baxter, MN; grandchildren, Joe (Jocelyn) Osborn, Anne (Chad) Busker, Cara (Tom) Dietert and Anne Wallen; great grandchildren, William, Lydia, Mahren and Owen. Preceding Mary in death are her parents; husband, Douglas; son, David; and a brother John. A graveside celebration of Mary’s life will be held on Saturday, May 11, 2014 at Mt.
