Mary Louise (Kinney) Wigen, age 68, of Nisswa passed away on Thursday, August 18, 2022, at the St. Cloud Hospital. Mary was born in Brainerd on November 10, 1953, to Alfred & Gladys (Sawyer) Kinney. While in the Brainerd Area, she worked as a waitress for the Barn for many years. She married Dean Wigen, and they spent the next 35+ years making wonderful memories.
Mary was a true jokester at heart. She truly loved her family and was very kind and accepting of everyone. Mary enjoyed reading a good book on her Nook, staying updated about family and seeing family pictures on Facebook, bowling, softball, volleyball, picnics, music, church and playing board games. Mary’s life motto was, Dessert First! A testimony of Mary was quoted by a dear nephew, Jacob Stout, “This is my Aunt Mary, she is beautiful and lovely, and everyone wants to be her friend”
Left to cherish her memory are her beloved husband, Dean; Children: Brooks (Priscilla) Johnson, Tiffany (Jason) Johnson; siblings: Larry (Diana) Kinney and Sandie Barnett; grandchildren: Savannah (Greg) Cooper, Ellen (Grant) Becker, Mallorie, Kenny and Jillayna Johnson; great-grandson, Eli Becker; many nieces and nephews.
Preceding Mary in death are her parents; brothers, Arnold and Gary Kinney; sister, Denise Stout.
Funeral service for Mary will be held at 11AM on Saturday, August 27, 2022, at Halvorson Taylor Life Events. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at the Baxter Cemetery.
