Maryellen B Wolf

Maryellen B. Wolf, 85 year old resident of Brainerd, MN passed away Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at Good Samaritan Woodland Nursing Home in Brainerd, MN. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, March 2, 2022 at Carefree Living in Brainerd, MN with Rev. Richard Waller officiating. Caring for Maryellen and her family is the Halvorson-Taylor Funeral Home in Brainerd, MN.

Maryellen was born on February 27, 1936 in Harrisburg, PA to the late George and Martha (Hatfield) Blessing. She grew up in Harrisburg, PA where she attended school and graduated from John Harris High School with the Class of 1954. After graduation she attended Juniata College where she obtained her Bachelor’s degree and graduated in 1958. She was united in marriage to Karl Wolf on June 21, 1958 at the Pine Street Presbyterian Church in Harrisburg, PA. Maryellen taught as an elementary school teacher for several years at the Cumberland Valley School District in Pennsylvania. She was an active member of the Bible Baptist Church in Shiremanstown, PA for many years. In her free time, she enjoyed sewing, reading, and cooking. In 2015 her and Karl moved to the Brainerd area where they have resided until present. Maryellen was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
Maryellen is survived by husband, Karl Wolf of Brainerd, MN; children, Glenn (Charlotte) Wolf of Brainerd, MN, Debbie (Larry) Kuhn of Coatesville, PA and Kara Brothers of Evansville, IN; sister-in-law, Paula Blessing of PA; grandchildren, Eric Kuhn, Jonathan Kuhn and Nicole Kuhn-Sims; and nephews, Richard Blessing, John Blessing, Ken Blessing, Mike Blessing, and Steve Blessing.
Maryellen was preceded in death by parents, George and Martha Blessing; brothers, George Blessing Jr. and John Blessing Sr.; and sister, Doris Jean Blessing.
