Mike Chapman, age 52, of Brainerd, Minnesota, entered peacefully into the arms of his Savior after a courageous battle with metastatic cancer on November 14th, 2024. A man of steadfast faith, Mike devoted his life to serving others, spending many years helping individuals find hope and healing in their struggles with addiction. He was a beacon of compassion and guidance, offering light to those walking through their own darkness. Born in Minneapolis and raised in Mankato, Mike moved to northern Minnesota and called Brainerd home. Mike cherished the beauty of God’s creation in northern Minnesota, finding solace in the lakes, the changing seasons, and the quiet moments of reflection they inspired. He was a devoted son, brother, and friend, and his kindness, humility, and faith touched all who knew him. Mike found joy in the simple gifts of life: fishing on calm waters, supporting UofM Gopher hockey, and engaging in meaningful conversations and debates. Mike is survived by his beloved mother, Anne Chapman; his brother, Dan (Bekki) Chapman; and his sister, Jen Chapman (Ben Johnson). He is reunited in heaven with his father, Michael, as well as grandparents, aunts, and uncles who preceded him. The family finds peace in knowing that he now rests with the Lord, free from pain and surrounded by eternal love. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to MN Teen Challenge of Brainerd Minnesota, a cause close to Mike’s heart and reflective of his dedication to serving others in God’s name. His family asks that friends and loved ones remember his faith, kindness, and commitment to spreading the Lord’s love, and that his memory inspires each of us to walk in love and compassion. May he rest in God’s everlasting peace.
