Michael Lloyd Theis

Michael Lloyd Theis, age 82, of Daggett, Michigan, and formerly of Staples, passed away on April 6, 2020. Mike was born in Staples to Michael & Irene (Wilson) Theis on July 23, 1937. Mike married the love of his life, Suzanne Marie Hultquist on July 2, 1960, and together they had two sons, Michael W. and Dale G. and a daughter, Suzanne M. Mike enjoyed hunting, fishing, tinkering in his shop/garage, and most recently, gold prospecting. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of almost 60 years, Sue; sons: Michael W. (Theresa) Theis, and Dale G. (Brenda) Theis; sisters: Betty Flood (Ben Feldman) and Theresa Skorczewski; grandchildren: James Theis, Rachelle Theis, Rebecca Theis, Brianna (Adam) Coggins, Michael J. Theis and Rachel M. Theis; great granddaughters: Claire, Lily and Natalie Coggins. Mike is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Suzanne Theis; brothers: Dave Kuhns and Dale Theis; sisters: Bonnie (Kuhns) Walters and Hazel (Kuhns) Marte A celebration of Mike’s life will be held on Saturday, July 25, 2020 at 12PM at Taylor Funeral Home in Staples. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
