Myrta Murray

Myrta passed away peacefully in her sleep on March 5, 2026.

Born August 7, 1969 in St. Cloud to John and Rosella Murray. She is preceded in death by her mother, Rosella Murray. She is survived and will be missed by her father, John Murray; her siblings, Lonnie (Mary), Ray(Tammy), Jean, Linda, Sue (Rich), Colleen (Jay), and many nieces and nephews.

Myrta was an adventurous soul, who lived in many places across the country during her life. Her love of animals showed in her many art projects, from woodcarvings, to clay statues, she really enjoyed anything crafty. When not adventuring or crafting, she loved to fish, hike, camp, and just being in the outdoors.

The celebration of Myrta’s life will be held at Halvorson-Taylor Funeral Home in Brainerd on Friday March 20th from 1pm to 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to the Epilepsy Foundation of Minnesota, https://www.epilepsyfoundationmn.org/ .
