Peter Miller-Russo, age 66, went home to be with Jesus on Friday afternoon, March 1st, 2024 at his home near Motley, Minnesota while in the arms of his adoring wife Linda. He was born on September 26, 1957, in
San Francisco, California to Charles and Katie (Bosnich) Russo.
Peter grew up in San Francisco, California, blessed with a close knit, loving family. He attended his primary school years at St. Paul the Shipwreck School after which his family moved to Hawaii where he attended St. Louis High School in Honolulu and graduated in 1975.
He then moved back to California with his family and attended college in Los Angeles and San Francisco, with a major in music. He left college after 2 years to support his first wife, Rachelle Suva along with his stepdaughter Molly and his son Michael Angelo, born in 1979 and his daughter, Harmony Gabrielle, born in 1984. Peter loved his family and worked hard to support them, teaching himself how to program computers and eventually becoming a Systems Analyst.
After his first marriage failed, Peter cried out to God, asking, “Must I be alone?” Peter’s prayer was answered in September 1994 when the Holy Spirit arranged a meeting with Linda Miller at a spiritual conference in St. Paul, Minnesota. It was a match made in Heaven! They were married three years later on May 31st, 1997, at Linda’s parents’ farm near Motley, Minnesota.
Peter was an extremely creative person who taught himself how to play the piano, guitar and flute. He also was blessed with a beautiful singing voice; he had ‘perfect pitch,’ tuning his own guitar along with helping others to tune theirs. Since the age of 14 he began writing his own original songs, lyrics and melodies, creating over 77 songs during his lifetime; including eleven praise and worship songs that he wrote this past year which he placed on his YouTube channel, along with a worship song he wrote when he was only 15 years old. Peter also wrote several books with his wife Linda, including producing and editing a King James Version Bible with Linda called the “Proclaim His Holy Name Bible” in 2012.
Peter loved his wife Linda and her extended family, telling her they were a real bonus in his life. He especially loved his children, grandchildren, and Linda's daughter Jen; his brother Natale; half brothers Dino & Charlie; stepbrother Ross; and adored aunts: Teta Angie, Teta Mary, and Aunt Mary Joan. Most of all, Peter loved the Lord, and loved to serve him and share with all who would listen how much the Lord Jesus had done for him. Three days before he passed away, Linda overheard him telling her nephews Mike & Jon that when he passed on to Heaven he was going to help Jesus build them both an awesome mansion in Heaven! Knowing Peter’s industrious nature, Linda is pretty sure he is already working on designing and building their mansions alongside his Master Jesus!
A memorial service for Peter will be held at 2:00PM on Friday, March 15, 2024, at the Motley Free Methodist Church with Pastor Jim Johnson officiating. A gathering of family and friends will be held at the church one hour prior to the service. A
luncheon will follow the service.
