Rachel Wing

Rachel Helen Wing, age 92, of Brainerd, passed away on Wednesday, August 28, 2019 at her home. Rachel was born in Brainerd to Henry & Lillie (Hoskins) Britton. On March 28, 1945 she married the love of her life, Harvey Wing and together they had eight children. Rachel loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. Family gatherings were her favorite, she was the best cook and made the greatest holiday dinners. Rachel was an avid Minnesota Twins fan. She also enjoyed watching the birds and flowers. Rachel will be forever missed by her husband of 74 years, Harvey; children: Dale (Patricia) of Brainerd, Janet (Dan) Quamme of Princeton, Linda (Ken) Borg of Brainerd, Mike (Jacki) of Brainerd, Randy (Julie) of Brainerd, Erue “Bunny” (Mike) Caughey of Brainerd, and Ben (Sheila) of Brainerd; sister, Agnes Hines of Brainerd; 27 grandchildren; 64 great grandchildren; 23 great-great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Curtis; and her siblings. Funeral service for Rachel will be on Saturday, August 31, 2019 at 11AM at Halvorson Taylor Life Events Center (512 S 8th St, Brainerd). Visitation will be held on Friday, August 30, 2019, from 5-8PM at Halvorson Taylor Life Events Center, and one hour prior to the service, Saturday at the funeral home.
