Rachelle Le Gillson

Rachelle Le Gillson, 53, of Wadena, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, May 14, 2025. She was born on April 22, 1972, in Little Falls, MN. Rachelle graduated from Pillager High School in Pillager, MN in 1990.

Rachelle loved children. In her young adult life, she worked as a caregiver in numerous daycare centers including one in Milwaukee, WI where she resided for several years until her diabetes became brittle and brought her back home to Minnesota. Although she struggled with her health throughout her adult life, Rachelle was a voracious reader, loved baking, and enjoyed spending time with her friends and family, including having her nephew Kyler spend weekends with her at her new apartment, which she was so proud of. Shell had a great love of Hallmark movies and so enjoyed watching them with her late mom and with her sisters when they were all able to be together. Shelly had a quick wit and a contagious laugh. She will be terribly missed.

Rachelle is survived by her two sisters, Amy (Scott) Lind and Rebecca (Roger) Windschitl, her beloved nephews and niece: Kyler Sofie, Robert Windschitl, Rylan Windschitl, and Regan Windschitl. She was so proud of each of them. Shelly is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Angeline Gillson, and her grandparents, Joyce and Wesley Carlson, Berniece Gillson, and Howard Gillson.

There is a Celebration of Life to be held on Friday, May 30, at the Casino Assembly of God Church, 10387 49th Ave SW, Pillager, MN. The service will be at 11 am with a visitation starting at 10 am.
