Richard “Rick” C. Bricker 68-year-old resident of Pequot Lakes, MN passed away November 16, 2022, at his residence. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, November 28, 2022 at Timberwood Church in Nisswa, MN with Pastor John Just officiating. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service at the church.


Rick was born on December 31, 1953, in Santa Monica, CA to Theodore and Mary Bricker. He graduated from high school in Sandpoint, Idaho with the class of 1972 and then immediately joined the US Army. Rick met Susan Carmichael as pen pals while stationed in Germany, through Susan’s brother-in-law, Chuck Banks. He and Susan were united in marriage in April of 1975 at First Lutheran Church in Columbia Heights, MN. The couple lived in the Minneapolis area until 1985 when they moved north. In 1986 they purchased Crystal Cleaners, which he operated until the time of his death. Rick was a member of the Brainerd Noon Rotary Club and served many positions. He was instrumental in the building of Brainerd Rotary Park, and was elected as Rotary District 5580 Governor in 2019-2020. Rick was a Blandin graduate and started the Brainerd Community Garden. He went on many international mission trips to Haiti with The Faith Project. Rick was blessed with the gift of faith to put his trust in Jesus Christ for his eternal salvation, which fueled his desire to serve.


Richard is survived by his loving wife, Susan Bricker; son, Christopher (Jennifer) Bricker; granddaughter, Madelynn Bricker; siblings, Debbie Amundson, Ted (Donna) Bricker, and Laura (Randy) Sunquist.


He is preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Randy Webb, Mark Bricker, Gordon Bricker, and Renee Rucker.


Arrangements are with the Halvorson Taylor Funeral Home in Brainerd, MN.
