Rollance (Rollie) Gode Jr. a 95 year-old-resident of Staples, MN passed away on Monday, June 13, 2022 at the Lakewood Health Care in Staples. He was born on March 8, 1927 in Lamberton, Minnesota to Josephine (Iversen) and Rollance Gode Sr. Rollie served his country in the Army. He married Darlene V. Martin on May 29, 1954 in Staples, MN. He was employed for over 35 years as a mail carrier for the Staples Post Office. Rollie also enjoyed his work on his Dairy Farm (Hilltop Dairy

Mass of Christian Burial is rescheduled for 11:00AM Friday, June 24th, 2022 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Staples, MN. Gathering of family and friends one hour prior to the service. A rosary will be said at 9:00am. Interment Evergreen Hill Cemetery, Staples.


Rollie will be deeply missed by his wife, Darlene (Tootie); children, Sandy (Craig) Otteson, Steve Gode, Kevin (Dawn) Gode, Laurie (Duane) Miller, Sherrie Michels (Roger), Linda (Jim) Janzen, Craig (Mindy) Gode, Brian (Tera) Gode, and Rick Gode; 23 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Mary Lee Becker.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Rollance Sr and Josephine; and stepmother, Zella Royer Gode.
